Abstract

Roller-compacted concrete pavement (RCCP) is a relatively new type of rigid pavement that utilizes a construction technique similar to asphaltic concrete pavement (ACP) construction to provide a strong, economical pavement. This paper discusses briefly the history and performance of RCCP to date, design and construction procedures used in US Army Corps of Engineers projects, jointing procedures, and in situ properties of RCCP.
